I first met Ruth at Larkspur Corte Madera School when she was promoted from third to my fourth grade class. As a dedicated musician Ruth loved to play the Sax in the LCM Band and through Redwood. We spent time together in Camp Fire Girls. She was a bright and caring person who enjoyed living in Larkspur.

I remember Ruth so well. Camp Fire Girls, slumber parties, LCM classes, then on to Tam and Redwood.

I last spoke with Ruthie, as her father and I called her, at the 30th reunion.  We were best friends in 7th and 8th grades.  We made a strange pair since she was close to 6 feet tall and I was trying hard to be 5 foot 2 to go with my blue eyes.  She was a math whizz which explained her skipping a grade.  When we talked in '91, she was married happily with at least two boys and was very active in the boy scouts in I think it was Oklahoma.  We didn't talk much about school days because we were both having a nice life as grown ups.
